A small seaside town Bol on the island Brač became a very famous Croatia charter destination. This is because of the spectacular beach named Zlatni rat. This unique pebble beach is one of the largest and most beautiful attractions for the tourists sailing in Croatia. Zlatni rat stretches over 500 meters into the sea and changes direction of its top influenced with sea currents. The beach offers restaurants, cafes and a surplus of water sports such as scuba diving, windsurfing and kite-surfing. The nightlife is more relaxed than Zrće beach, but there are plenty of open-air bars and nightclubs to explore.
Besides Zlatni rat beach, while on Bol we recommend visiting the ancient Bol monastery. If you are feeling active, Vidova Gora, the highest peak on the island, will amaze you with fabulous views across the Dalmatian coast.
From the gastronomy point of view, Bol has a great selection of reasonably priced local ‘konobas’ specialize in grilled meat and fish dishes, cooked using traditional methods and recipes. Our tip: try famous island Brač lamb.
