Charter destination Zadar

For sure Zadar is a young but very cute Croatia charter destination. Even though smaller and less known to tourists, then Split or Dubrovnik, Zadar is becoming a very popular destination. The city is big enough for you to find favourite beach bar, do some shopping on the main street, explore historical sights and yet small enough for you to be able to walk on foot all around it.  Zadar has a shockingly long history, much of it still on display around town. Visit the centre of town and old Forum. Also there is the 9th century St. Donatus’ Church, built on the remnants of a Roman temple to Juno. Kalelarga, the main ‘street’, runs through Zadar Old Town, and features a number of cafes, ice cream shops, regular shops and more.

Exploring its surroundings is a must when visiting the aria as 3 National Parks are situated close by Krka, Paklenica and Kornati. However, before exploring elsewhere you should pay a visit to Zadar’s own original attractions. The Sea organ make music as waves clash along the shoreline. This incredible creation keeps astounding each and every visitor.  Likewise ,the Greeting to the sun basically is a big round disco floor. It lights up at night and celebrates the setting of the sun in an unforgettable way. During his visit to Zadar, Alfred Hitchcock famously declared the sunsets in Zadar to be the best in the world. So as the light begins to fade, follow the crowds that gather down on the Riva in front of the sculpture “Greeting to the sun” and decide yourself if the story of sunset is really true.
